Black Diamond Mind (BDM) - General and Investing Guidelines
These are general guidelines for most of our engaging meetings and discussions to help facilitate a healthy developmental environment. Please review these prior to meeting. By joining any event you have read and agree to these guidelines. If you do not agree, please notify us prior to signing up or joining any event or meeting to better assist you.
Black Diamond Mind (BMD) Guidelines
We all agree to meet on the date of the event for 1 hour, unless otherwise stated.
We agree that every issue that we have and every accountability item we discuss, it's the owners responsibility to communicate and drive the item. The group's responsibility is to support and assist the efforts of each member and provide constructive feedback and guidance and not perform the accountability item of its owner.
You waived the right to hold anyone accountable for your non performance or goal achievement as you agree that it is your responsibility to diligently perform to achieve your goals and that the group is only to assist.
You agree that these events, meetings, classes and/or discussions will not be recorded or distributed outside of this group.
The owners understand that there may be disagreements and comments that they are not aligned with, but must not take it personally and understand that the differences of views is the value of this group and provides worldly and alternate feedback.
This group is voluntary and each member has the right to leave the group at any time without any repercussions for any reason whatsoever.
These meetings are expected to continue with or without any members that can't attend.
Members who leave or unsubscribe from the group or event will be removed from announcements and notifications and will not partake an any further involvement or participation within any of the events, meetings, etc.
Disagreements are expected and are part of the discussion. Let's try to limit disagreements by respecting each other's view.
• If a disagreement continues for more than 1 minute, we will park the disagreement in the parking lot to finish the meeting or event. The person who is the speaker will then continue without interruption unless they choose to continue by verbally saying they will like to continue. Otherwise we will discuss it in the parking lot in the allotted time and are bound by the parking lot rules listed below in the House Rules.
HOUSE RULES:
Meetings may run shorter or longer than the allotted time depending on circumstances. If the meeting or event is longer than the scheduled time members are free to leave.
The first 5-10 minutes is a social health check starting with introductions and expectations to get everyone engaged.
Depending on the event or meeting, we will have 10-15 minutes each to go over our list and discuss the items from the previous meetings or event along with any issues or concerns.
• We will respect each person's time and fully listen when they are speaking. If they ask questions then it is OK to speak. If not then they will speak without interruption. If further clarification is needed we will ask for clarification which is not considered an interruption but as a means of better communication.
• If a person finishes their question(s) or concern(s) earlier than their allotted time, the remaining time will be evenly shared between the remaining group members.
Parking lot and rules. (Parking Lot is used to hold questions that can't be answered during the core meeting or event and is written down to be addressed later.
• All questions in the parking lot will be addressed but due to time constraints may not be fully answered and shall be taken offline or discussed via other forms of communications not limited to email, social media, etc.
• The parking lot is only used for the conversations during the event and is not a Q&A session where we ask unrelated questions not pertaining to the event.
• We will limit the parking lot to the number of people in the group. If there are 3 people in the meeting then we will limit to 3 items. More can be written but only 3 max will be addressed due to time constraints of the meeting.
• If only 1 person has 3 questions we will address 3 of the parking lot questions.
• If there are more than 1 person then each person who has an item will be addressed and the remainder will then be read.
• • example 1: Bernard has 2 items in the parking lot and there are 3 people in the group and each person has 1 item in the parking lot as well. There would be 4 items in the parking lot so Bernard will have to choose which of his 2 items he wants to discuss because the other members' questions reach the max of 3 at 1 item per person.
• • example 2: Bernard has 2 items in the parking lot and there are 3 people in the group and only 1 other person has 1 item. Then there are 3 items in the parking lot but between 2 group members so Bernard will be able to have his 2 items in the parking lot answered.
Other questions can be taken offline.
Any questions that come up and are not able to be answered will be moved to the parking lot for further discussion. This helps maintain the flow of the meeting so everyone can have proper time.
If a person is about to go over their time, we will move it to the parking lot to be discussed if there is more time at the end of the meeting. If not then it will be taken offline for further discussion individually or moved to the next meeting.
