GOTiHe: 3 Ways to Let Your Mind Flow - Breathe (Part 2)
GOTiHe: 3 Simple Ways to Let Your Mind Flow – Breathe (Part 2 of 3)
Part 2 - Breathe: Mind Flow requires Air Flow:
Breathe: “We need to breathe more: Oxygen is the most critical resource our bodies need so much so that we can’t go without it for more than a few minutes.” - Bernard Hardy [Mind Flow] requires Airflow.
Did you know that the song Mind Flow not only uses the 528hz Solfeggio frequency but was also created to help improve Air Flow? I believe that Air Flow is the most important aspect of wellness and health because it has the most powerful and positive effects on our body and mind, even more than liquids and foods. I base this on the “Principle of Importance”. We can sustain life without water for 3days, with food for about 3 weeks, but without air, only 3 minutes. So, this is a good indicator that oxygen has the highest principle of importance to our lives and therefore it should be focused on the most if you want to have the greatest impact on your body. Then I would say water and food are the second and third principles of importance, respectively. Please note that all 3 of these are vital to health and wellness and should all be done synergistically. So, let’s talk about using Mind Flow to increase Air Flow.
Fun Fact#1: Air is made up of gas and consists of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen and the rest is 1% (argon, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, just to name a few) and we breathe it all in as our nose doesn’t filter the incoming air.
Warning! You are most likely breathing incorrectly, and it is a hidden danger, causing harm to every cell in your body. Yes, you heard it correctly. This is because we don’t really think about breathing. Why? Because we don’t have to think about since we automatically breathe on average 23,000 times every day of our lives. It’s so important that your body did not leave it up to us to remember, knowing that forgetting to breathe is not an option.
Would you agree that it’s important to know if we are breathing correctly?
Let’s take a minute to do a quick 2-part breathing test and see how we are breathing. *** see disclaimer before attempting ***
Part 1: (30 seconds)
Sit in a chair with your back straight and feet firmly on the floor.
Close your eyes and focus on your breathing for about 30 seconds.
Do you feel your stomach is expanding a lot or a little when you breathe in?
Do you feel your stomach contracting when you breathe out?
Does the breathing feel deep or shallow?
Part 2: (30 seconds)
Now, try to breathe in with a full breath deep into the bottom of your belly. (Your belly should stick out and you should feel your stomach expand.)
Then, breathe out slowly like you are blowing out candles until your lungs are nearly empty.
Now that you’ve done the quick test, compared the difference in breathing between part 1 and part 2.
If the results of part 1 and part 2 are the same, then congratulations you are breathing correctly and every cell in your body loves you for it.
If the results of part 2 was deeper breathing than part 1, that means you are breathing incorrectly and there are ways to improve by listening to Mind Flow and doing the steps below. Also check out the breathing exercises from Georgia University.
Fun Fact #2: The human eye has very few blood cells and needs oxygen, so it absorbs oxygen directly from the air through the cornea which is unlike any other part of the human body.
How does this relate to Mind Flow? Air Flow directly affects Mind Flow because the brain makes up only 2% of our total body weight but uses a massive 20% of our body’s oxygen intake to supply energy. In fact, the brain uses more energy when you actively engage it in deep thinking and practicing Mind Flow. The better we breathe, the better we function and perform on all levels, This is similar to the different types of gas at the gas station. In fact, most people only exhale 70% of the carbon dioxide in their lungs due to breathing incorrectly which limits the amount of oxygen we absorb and starves our cell of oxygen. Therefore it’s essential to make sure we take back control of our breathing to increase our Air Flow to make for proper Mind Flow.
Just how important is Air Flow or breathing properly?
Oxygen is the greatest source of energy and is essential for combustion or creating fire.
Only 10% of our energy comes from food and water, while 90% comes from oxygen.
Every cell in our body benefits from Air Flow, so improving our Air Flow improves everything about us and is directly connected to our mental, physical and spiritual self.
Oxygen enhances brainpower, memory, and the ability to think, concentrate and learn.
Oxygen is used to convert the food we eat into energy (this is why I have it ranked before food ;-)
Enhances absorption of vitamins, proteins and minerals
Speeds up the healing of injuries.
Mental wellness, calmness, relief of anxiety, panic attacks, stress and slowing down the aging process, and helps us live longer.
Enhances physical stamina and endurance.
Oxygen boosts our immune system in many ways by detoxifying the blood, destroying viruses, microbes and free radicals.
All life on earth needs oxygen
It is used to create new cells in our body (We lose about 7 hundred billion cells each day in our bodies)
Important to note! Although oxygen plays an important role in our health, there is a such thing as over breathing, which can lower carbon dioxide levels in the blood and create lightheadedness and dizziness. Carbon dioxide works synergistically with oxygen to keep you functioning optimally. It’s outside the scope of this article, but it helps to regulate your pH balance and is part of the chemical reaction required for the intake of oxygen and release of carbon dioxide.
Fun Fact #3: The ozone layer in the upper atmosphere is made up of 3 oxygen atoms and protects the Earth from the harmful ultraviolet-B radiation from the sun that leads to skin cancer and crop damage. I guess the ozone is the “No GO zone” for ultraviolet radiation.
Try the breathing exercise below to Mind Flow and let us know what you think? *** see disclaimer before attempting ***
Listen: to Mind Flow by clicking here:
Sit in a chair with your back straight, feet firmly on the floor and relax (Closing your eyes is recommended but not required).
Breathe: When Mind Flow starts, Do 7 sets of Deep breathing:
Breathe in Deep for 5 seconds (Filling up your entire lung)
Hold your breath for 20 seconds
Breathe out for 10 seconds and repeat at least 7 times.
NOTE: You can modify this exercise for your comfort and increase the count as your breathing improves by modifying the Air Flow formula below:
Air Flow = (1x + 4x + 2x) or Air Flow = (1 x 5 second inhale = 5 + 4 x 5 = 20 second hold breath + 2 x 5 second exhale =10 )
The inhaled breath count is the basis for the other counts. In the exercise above, we inhale for 5 seconds (1x5), then hold breath for 20 seconds (4x5), and exhale for 10 seconds (2x5).
I feel it is very important to add breathing exercises to your morning, daily and nightly routines as it is the most critical resource for our bodies. Whether you use these exercises listed here or somewhere else, please make it a habit to breathe more deeply. Your mind, body and spirit will thank you.

These exercises can be done anywhere you are as long as you are in a safe place that you can close your eyes. I like to do the deep breathing exercise as part of my morning and night routine combined with the listening exercise in part 1 to achieve Mind Flow.
Note: Noise cancelling headphones provide a great experience if you’re in a noisy environment.
